Venice city governments announced the launch of a new mobile service that will notify all Venetians of a coming flood.

Information about a flood will be received 36 hours before its start, about a possible storm - 6 hours before. Considering that the number of telephone subscribers in the region exceeds the number of people, almost all of them will be notified. This service will indeed become one of the most useful for the population of Venice.

The newly developed printer produces its own parts

British scientists from the University of Bath developed a 3-D printer that can produce parts of which it consists. The printer represents a device loaded with thin sheets of plastic instead of paper. It melts the plastic and produces three-dimensional items. The devise creators say it has a great future. As one of its creators said: "Such device will make it possible to get exactly the things you need at a cheap price. It will be like a small China on your table".
